LinkedIn Optimisation Blog

Optimising my LinkedIn profile was a strategic process aimed at achieving All-Star status and increasing visibility among my target audience. I followed a structured approach to ensure my profile was complete, engaging, and aligned with my personal brand.

To achieve all-star status on LinkedIn, I undertook a strategic optimisation process to build a strong, professional presence that accurately reflects my skills, experience, and aspirations. My goal was to not only improve visibility but also demonstrate credibility to employers and industry peers.

The process began by refining the essentials: I uploaded a professional profile photo, updated my current role and career interests, and wrote a first-person about me section that communicates who I am and what I bring to the table. This included my current role as a caseworker/administrator at Turas Nua, and my academic journey in Business and Marketing at Griffith College Dublin.

I then focused on completing every section of my profile, including detailed entries for experience, education, and skills. I curated a strong skills list aligned with my goals in client services, marketing, and administration.

Beyond profile content, I became more active on LinkedIn – connecting with professionals in my field, commenting on relevant posts, and occasionally sharing insights related to employment services and marketing trends.

These efforts paid off: I reached All-Star status and significantly improved my visibility and engagement. As a result, my Social Selling Index (SSI) score now ranks me in the top 94% within my industry and top 91% within my network, a strong indicator of how effectively I’m building my professional brand online.
